Takahashi's Kingdom is a small island in the middle of the sea. It is occupied by one man, Onami Taruno. Nobody is quite sure how long he's been there, or where he originally came from, but he has made the island his home. One day, a trader by the name of Takahashi landed at the island to ride out a storm. Taking pity on Onami, he gave him some food and befriended him. Takahashi left the island and over the years Onami's mind has warped the encounter to the point where he considers it divine intervention. Convinced that Takahasi was a god who took human form to visit him, Onami has taken to honoring Takahashi in hopes that he will return. He reads prayers and builds statues that resemble Takahashi as well as he can remember. Nowadays, the island is covered with statues, and Onami imposes a heavy fine on anyone else who tries to land their boat on the holy site.
